This book changed my life. Read it, don't watch it. Emile Hirsch does a great job (kind of a poor man's Leonardo DiCaprio), but the movie has little to do with the impact the book can have on your life.

Now, isn't that something.

I read this book almost a year ago. I got a copy from the library, and left mad. As I was checking out the librarian told me he died. He also said that I wouln't like "Alex" because he keeps making stupid decisions along the way. He proceeded to go into detail, until I stopped him. I almost felt the book was ruined for me. Fortunatly it was not, and I loved it. I ended up paying a hefty overdue fine, because I didn't want to give it up. It took me some time to get passed the letter he read to his older buddy, and I still think about it. I think it hit home with me.
